pulled the world right out from under my feet. I
made some horrible decisions during that time of
healing and reorganizing. I felt pain, I caused pain
and all by my own choices. Funny how actions created out of fear and failure sure make for some very
sincere lyrics and heartfelt melodies. All is good now
though…I needed to get thru it and learn from it. I
feel I am a better person for it.
Tell us about that, what it means in your musical
career & life in general - is the album a rebirth, catharsis, maybe an epiphany?
The album is a rebirth. Like the lyrics on the
last track "Wide Awake (Phoenix Rising)"
When we go thru a rough spell we need to assess how much of it we were responsible for and
make amends, especially with ourselves. Life has a
way of becoming clearer when you get to the other
side. We just need to remember to breathe.
I find comfort and healing thru the process of
creating…my form of meditation, perhaps.
What do you think are your biggest challenges right
now?
I still need to learn the art of allowing things to
be. To relax. Taking one day at a time and not try to
pile on more than I need to. Enjoy the moment. I
tend to be a bit of a workaholic.

that was about it. The album is very atmospheric
with electronic influences and not really a HEAVY
sounding album. A very different beast compared to
my newest release, “Resurrect Me”.
A perfect segue…you released ?Resurrect Me? early
2013…is that title significant in your life, or just a
catchy phrase? :)
It's both! For those that are familiar with the
Operation MindCrime story they will understand…
