LOVELL - GALLIONS 3B

Lovell is a partnership housing expert and leading provider of innovative residential construction and regeneration developments . Its work on the Gallions 3B development will deliver affordable new homes in the Capital .
Gallions 3B is in the sixth and final phase of development within the residential Royal Albert Wharf area of East London and was one of the first London Plan projects commissioned by the GLA .
Delivered by Lovell for developer , Notting Hill Genesis , the proposed riverside neighbourhood forms part of the wider area associated with the Beckton Gas Works and had historically been occupied by a petroleum wharf and railway land . Remediation of the site and surrounding area was undertaken in 2006 to ensure it was suitable for a commercial end use . It had then remained undeveloped except for a small area of public amenity space at one end of the site .
This last phase will consist of 238 homes over two blocks of apartments and three town houses and thanks to additional funding from the GLA , will deliver 76 % affordable housing ,
