The paved walkway between Salem Chapel and the Bupa Dental Clinic , enables easy access to Meadow Lane and a new garden surrounding the 10-metre-tall tribute to the life of British Nigerian Leeds resident , David Oluwale , which was unveiled as part of the Leeds 2023 celebrations .
Included within the Theatre Gardens are seating areas , two small stages , and a selection of raised beds which will bloom over the coming months with an array of herbaceous planting .
The plants chosen include Solidago ‘ Goldenmosa ’, Kniphofia ‘ Papaya Popsicle ’ and Crocosmia lucifer and have been selected to create a colourful and textured backdrop which evokes both drama and vibrancy as the blossom .
