WJ GROUP REINFORCES POSITION AS ROAD SAFETY LEADERS AFTER INNOVATION DAY
Road safety and efficient delivery were at the forefront of WJ ’ s latest Innovation Day , which saw delegates from National Highways learn about the business ’ latest product , services , and solution updates .
With members of National Highways ’ senior management team , regional heads and various other leaders in attendance , WJ showcased a variety of its newest technological advancements , helping further cement its position as leaders in road safety innovation .
Taking place at its Engineering & Training Academy in Stokeon-Trent , visitors participated in discussions and presentations on the road to net zero , big data , efficient asset management , and what the future holds for new innovations . In addition to this , WJ conducted a series of demonstrations of some of its latest developments .
Two of these involved WJ ’ s vehicle innovations , including ThermoPrint , which has been successfully tested on the road network with National Highways , and the WJ Autonomous PreMarker . Both advancements are set to revolutionise the industry by making pre-marking and installing markings safer and quicker for workers .
Other innovative equipment , such as WJ ’ s Solar CCTV Units , a new captive shot blaster , and its latest retro-reflectometer were also on display . This technology enables WJ to survey full lane widths and assesses the retro-reflectivity of all markings , using state-of-the-art Machine Vision technology and AI .
