The listed buildings within the site are to be retained . In addition the development will include a new road to link with Chislehurst Road in the North .
Geoff Woodcock , managing director of Esh Developments , said : “ Our plans for Philadelphia are progressing well , in line with the outline planning consent gained in 2014 .
“ This development will bring jobs , investment and housing to the community , as well as protecting historic buildings .”
It will take until at least 2030 to complete the works .
“ Our team is moving through the site in line with the outline plan and we hope to begin work on the housing and road components of the scheme later this year .
