.The roof looked great but created a new problem for the build. As the GTO is a hatchback model, a boot had to be fabricated, and this problem was handled perfectly by Steve.

With all this work done, it was time for a new lick of paint. With the green Hulk theme still in play the lime green was ditched for a candy green with medium flake sprayed on by the talented Bryan Whitfield from Roberts Motor Bodies, Sheffield.

The car has seen plenty of work over the years. Whether you’re a fan of this old ‘skool’ import or not, you cannot deny that it really is one of a kind. Not many people can say they drive a one off car, but as the only Soft Top GTO in the world Steve doesn’t need to worry about parking beside the same car at a meet or show.

There are no real plans for the future with this car, but after all the work that’s been put in we think it was about time Steve took time to enjoy the car.
