By now most of you are well into summer fishing. Some like
me are probably crafting and testing new lures that will be available for next year. Some of you might even be catching your
breath after a summer long of filling orders for those custom
bait anglers. Either way, make sure to review you accomplishments for this summer, and start to think about the next. I have
personally been going thru some shaky times. As many of you
know Issue No2 has been delayed due to an article that was taken from a magazine without permission, and was turned in to us
with the person’s name as the author. A big thanks to Joe Martinez from California for catching that with time enough to remove it and help us keep out of trouble. I was in a very tight
schedule and can only dedicate a certain amount of time. As you
all know I have a full time job, custom bait business, and well
now publish this magazine. So I pretty much had to delete the
article and pages, and fill them up again to even out the issue.
This is very time consuming.
During this time I also had to take an unexpected trip to El Paso,
Texas to go see my father in law Raul Guzman and be with him
Larry Dahlberg during this harsh time. He is one of the greatest persons anyone
can ever meet. He is without a doubt the Father in Law anyone

would be proud to have. I know I am. Last summer when he
came to visit he was out in the shop pouring baits, finishing baits, and even help with packaging. I only hope God is willing to let us enjoy my Father in Law for more years to come. Cancer is a very cruel disease, and the only thing one can do is wait and hope for the best.
While visiting him, I took the time to review all the material I had from our contributors and
custom bait builders. I started to work on the next three issues, which means the deadlines are
now move up to make sure I have sufficient time to fix any issues that may come up. Advertisers will still have the same deadlines, but article contributors will need to have the material
ready 3 weeks in before the issue is released. This issue will be your September/October Issue
No2, and will continue on with Nov/Dec 2015, Jan/Feb 2016, and Mar/April 2016…so on.
Right now I plan to make the Jan/Feb 2016 issue a big issue to make up for the 2 issues we
lost.
