Curvz Mag: What advice would you give to someone looking
to get into the modeling industry?
Sheila: First, take a deep breathe and know that no matter
how many times you face rejection or doors close on you, don't
give up on your dreams. Do your research. Find out what local
modeling agencies are in your area and their requirements.
Look for open casting calls and have your comp cards ready.
Be aware that runway is not the only modeling opportunity for
you. There are plenty of commercial and print publication
opportunities for you as a model. Find your tribe and support
each other.
Curvz Mag: Is there anything else you would like our readers
to know about you or any shout outs?
Shella: I am the #1 Selena fan. It's pretty obvious on my social
media page, but I just want to make sure people know how
much I love her and what an inspiration she has been to me
since I was a little girl. One of my favorite quotes from her is
"Always believe that the impossible is always possible."
