CURRO CASTLE DURBANVILLE Reptiles visit the Castle There was so much excitement in May this year at the Castle as the much-anticipated reptile educational sessions took place. The children could get an up-close look at quite a few creatures that, up until now, they have only seen in books and photos. CURRO CASTLE HAZELDEAN Grade Rs’ educational outing The Grade R children visited The Farmyard during September. They were transported by bus to the venue and spent the day learning more about all kinds of animals. Each child also received an ice cream in the heat. It was a day full of fun. CURRO CASTLE ECO KIDZ The Curro Castle Durbanville learners pay close attention as this reptile park specialist tells them about snakes and how cold-blooded animals love the summer sun. Grade Rs visit the big school Curro Castle eco kidz’s Grade R children visited Curro Mount Richmore’s Grade 1 classes to see what the future has in store for them in the new year. An enjoyable morning was had by all – building a few robotic Lego figures, singing, drawing pictures and playing outside on the ‘big’ playground. Each child received a snack and a little gift to remember their visit to Curro Mount Richmore. The ride back to eco kidz in the Curro bus was filled with noisy, excited chatter which carried on after arrival back at school. The Bee class girls are enjoying their ice creams. Mmm … what are these camels thinking? Water play in Group 1 The Group 1 children got their feet wet and enjoyed learning through water play.
