The need to transform the curriculum has been ever-present in further education. This has been partly due to the very nature of our learners whose needs and backgrounds are often complex. This transformation has certainly always been necessary due to the political and financial demands on the sector; the pressure of which has been no greater than at present. We are alays learning new things about 'learning' and the transformation will only cease when we've stopped learning.
