247 | VIDEO GAME DEVELOPMENT & CODING 0.5 CREDIT
The Introduction to Coding course will give students a primer into the world of Computer Science. The course is specifically designed for students with no prior programming experience and touches upon a variety of fundamental topics. Students will complete a variety of assignments and student directed projects. The projects will allow students to use their creativity and computational thinking skills to develop new programs and games. Open to Grades 10-12.
! Course fulfills Visual and Performing Arts requirement.
249 | AP COMPUTER SCIENCE PRINCIPLES 1.0 CREDIT
Prerequisite: 80 % in Honors or Regular Algebra.
Code. org’ s AP Computer Science Principles( CSP) curriculum is a full-year, rigorous, entry-level course that introduces high school students to the foundations of modern computing. The course covers a broad range of foundational topics such as programming, algorithms, the Internet, big data, digital privacy and security, and the societal impacts of computing. Grades 11-12 only.

250 | AP COMPUTER SCIENCE A 1.0 CREDIT
Prerequisite: 88 % in AP Computer Science Principles.
AP Computer Science A is an introductory college-level computer science course. Students cultivate their understanding of coding through analyzing, writing, and testing code as they explore concepts like modularity, variables, and control structures.
