The introduction to jazz series will showcase the musicians of the Gold Coast Jazz Society Band, under the direction of Martin Hand. The sessions will take place from 7-9 pm on March 7, April 4, May 2, June 6, July 11 (due to the July 4th Holiday, the July event is the second Thurs- day), August 1, September 5, 2019. Tickets $10-$20 per event. “A Taste of Jazz is a fun way to learn more about the celebrated musical genre without feeling intimi- dated or overwhelmed,” said Jody Leshinsky, Cul- tural Venues Programming Manager. “So many peo- ple want to learn more about this original American art form but do not know where to begin. We created this event series for them! And by adding wine tast- ings from local vendors, it will truly become a fun- filled social event.” The Gold Coast Jazz Society has been a major presenter of jazz concerts, jazz educa- tion and jazz outreach programs in Broward County since 1992.
