Travel Is The Best 2016 Gift

Unless we travel, we read only one page of life's
great book, said Mark Twain. But turning the page
launches anxieties: Can I afford travel? Are short
trips worthwhile? Can I avoid over-paying? Can I
travel alone? Will 2nd-class travel disappoint?
Should I wait until retirement? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. No.
No.
Time constraints are easier to manage than
money issues. The axiom holds that there are two
types of money: the kind spent at home; the kind
spent while traveling. Travel dollars have greater
potential value, being able, as they are, to purchase
priceless memories. There is no measure for the
once-in-a-lifetime of our lives. With planning, a journey can be less costly than a year of mindless consumerism.
