Some descriptions are really cruel. How would
you feel if someone said that you are ugly as a toad
and bug-eyed to boot? You’d probably be mad as a
hornet, and run away fast like a bat out of hell.
It’s better not to discuss politics because you’d be
opening a can of worms. You don’t want to be forced
to worm you way out of a nasty situation.
My best friend, who is so kind and gentle, would-
n’t hurt a flea. She’s merry as a cricket whenever we
go to the flea market. My only complaint is that she
is always bugging me to go to the Keys.
It’s annoying when you have a frog in your throat.
I always get butterflies in my stomach whenever I
drive on I-95. Before a trip, I’m busy as a bee with
all the packing and pre-departure preparations. I still
laugh when I think about the day when my mother
talked to me about the birds and the bees. That was
indeed a farewell to my childhood.
