Walk This Way—Spring on the Ridge Trail
Spring is the perfect time to experience our Peninsula Watershed on the Fifield-Cahill
Ridge Trail! The vibrant, lush 23,000 acres of this precious watershed are protected as
one of our water sources, and are home to many rare and endangered species
protected by federal and state laws. The 10-mile trail is open to hikers, cyclists, and
equestrians with reservations to be accompanied by our Trail Leader Volunteers on
Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Interested in becoming a Trail Leader Volunteer
to assist with these hikes? Learn more at sfwater.org/ridgetrail.
We are working to expand our education and public access programs, and the
environmental review is under way to extend the Bay Area Ridge Trail south on our
Peninsula Watershed. Make plans to come out and enjoy some of the most
breathtaking scenery the Bay Area has to offer. Learn more about the Peninsula
Watershed at sfwater.org/peninsula.
