Greenwald and Information Specialist Steven Montero were on hand to field questions and raise awareness , but also to hear personal accounts of an American experience .
Perhaps an even more important American export than food and sports has been jazz ! And what a delight that our very own member Frances Livings shared this export on the last evening of the festival with a glowing performance of some jazz classics , as well as some of her own songs . Despite the wind and rain , couples danced to the music , children swayed with the rhythm , and candles ( and smartphones ) shone . What a glorious finale to a long day .
A big thank-you to the many AWCH members who were on the planning committee and on hand to ( wo ) man the booth , with a special thank-you to Sara Naumann , who did an excellent job of coordinating the event with the consulate and putting ideas into a successful reality .
