really felt like giving her a tongue-lashing. Instead I
bit my tongue, and said nothing. Who knows what
she would have replied since she is such a sharp-
tongued woman.

ably exclaim that the name is on the tip of your
tongue.
A slip of the tongue is an unintentional mistake
that sometimes can be very embarrassing. Some
people like to make tongue-in-cheek comments.
Don’t take these remarks seriously because they are
intended to be a joke.
If you are a forgiving person, you will turn the
other cheek when somebody does you wrong. In the
“old” days, you’d see many couples dancing cheek to
cheek.
