Brooks Sports Becomes Newest Member of FFC
Brooks Sports , Inc . has announced it is the newest member of the Fair Factories Clearinghouse ( FFC ). The FFC , a nonprofit organization dedicated to continuous improvement in factory working conditions , is dedicated to providing brands and retailers with scalable technology and organizational platform to facilitate non-competitive collaboration in improving working conditions within their supply chains . Brooks believes that by sharing knowledge and resources , they can advance industrywide Corporate Responsibility to a greater degree . Brooks ’ corporate social responsibility manager , Stacy Gamble , notes the opportunities that exist with their membership to the FFC . “ Our involvement with the FFC allows us to positively affect working conditions by helping identify opportunities for collaboration with other brands and retailers . Collaboration is a significant step towards creating better working conditions for factory workers across the globe .”
Raising-The-Roof on Pedorthic Education Campaign Receives $ 20,000 Donation from Powerstep
The Robert M . Palmer Institute of Biomechanics in Elwood , Indiana is proud to announce a generous contribution of $ 20,000 from Powerstep to its “ Raise-The-Roof on Pedorthic Education Campaign .” The fundraising campaign was established to repair the historic red shingled dome on the Institute ’ s campus , which is a focal point in the city of Elwood , Indiana . The campaign ’ s theme “ we ’ re on fire in Elwood – how about you ?” also promotes “ being of fire for pedorthics ” as the vision for the impending newly created pedorthic educational standards necessary for pedorthic certification programs , while creating both personal and professional opportunites for pedorthics .
