Foot and Shoe Size Awareness
tells us how similar elements are in the same cluster group . It provides a measure of homogeneity within the cluster group . The scale ranges from 0 to 1 , with the values closer to 1 indicating greater homogeneity .
In our study , we found the intraclass correlation , calculated by SAS , for the length of the right and left foot using The Brannock Device ® 10 at all four events . The participants provided their perceived shoe size before their feet were measured . Their length measurements indicated correlations of 0.879 for the right foot and 0.873 for the left . On a scale where 0-0.2 indicates poor agreement , and 0-0.8 indicates almost perfect agreement . Therefore , The Brannock Device ® 10 foot length measurement and the participants ’ perceived measurement for foot length were extremely close together or in almost perfect agreement . Moreover , the participants ’ perceived shoe size given verbally to us showed strong agreement to The Brannock Device ® 10 measured foot size length
We also found the kappa statistic for The Brannock Device ® 10 foot size width and the width given by the participant showed poor agreement for both the left and right foot , at 0.1280 on the right and 0.1817 on the left . This trend continued for all four events .
For the pre- and post-questions , we used McNemar ’ s [ 11 , 12 ] test for paired proportions . Quinn McNemar created the test to assess
