DID YOU KNOW?
LES is ranked among the best electric utilities in the nation!
The American Public Power Association — representing
not-for-profit, community-owned utilities that power 49
million people in 2,000 towns and cities nationwide —
designated LES a Diamond-Level Reliable Public
Power Provider (RP 3 ) because of our nationally high
marks for reliable, safe service!
Public power utilities that excel at delivering
dependable power, conducting their work safely, developing their workforce and
improving their electric system earn the honor.
LES has held the RP 3 designation since 2011. Out of the more than 2,000 public
power utilities across the nation, LES is one of just 37 to earn the 2018-21
Diamond designation, demonstrating how it improves best practices and
raises the bar for other service providers.
“This is a great honor,” said Kevin Wailes, LES chief executive officer.
“We take a lot of pride in powering the Lincoln area. The work we do every
day — from answering calls in our Customer Care center to repairing
power lines after a storm to teaching local students about conserving
energy — makes the community we call home a better place to live.”
