DID YOU KNOW?
LES is proud to be a 12-time Tree Line USA Utility, earned through our diligence in protecting the urban forests
in the communities we serve.
Tree Line USA, a joint program developed by the Arbor Day Foundation and the National Association of State
Foresters, recognizes utilities that meet its five different benchmarks: quality tree care, annual worker training,
a tree-based energy conservation program, tree plantings and public education and — last, but not least — an
Arbor Day celebration.
Each Arbor Day, we partner with a local public school for a tree planting! Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to
see where we’re celebrating on Friday, April 27.

FIRST THING’S FIRST: CALL BEFORE YOU DIG
Before you put shovel to soil, you’ve got to know
what’s below!
No matter if you’re planting a new tree or if you’re
digging holes for that new fence, call Diggers
Hotline first. Safety is our top priority, and we don’t
want you to hurt yourself by digging into power
lines that could be buried beneath your property.
Dial 811 before you dig!
