Message from Honorable Proctor

After 2 years of momentous journey of CUMUN 2015 and CUMUN 2016, I would like to congratulate Model United Nations Association, Chittagong University for organizing their third ever international Model UN conference- Chittagong University Model United Nations 2017 in Chittagong University. Chittagong’ s exclusivity is the strong emphasis it places on transcendence as well as academic excellence, coupled with its profound stress on the importance of service to others as a meaningful way to develop values that will enrich the world.
Our lovely campus atmosphere is best fitted for learning, whether in the classroom, through academic and laboratory exercises, or through special projects, tutorials as well as assignment. A full complement of extra-curricular activities allow our entire students or student body to enjoy special interests, share in the excitement of student life and develop leadership skills that reflect individual competence.
Model UN enriches the knowledge of students in the field of negotiation, public speaking, problem solving, conflict management, communication as well as research. It encourages the students in gathering more up to date information about the world. Teachers and students are benefitted from this interactive learning experience. It not only involves young people in the study and discussion of global issues, but also encourages the development of skills useful throughout their lives, such as research, writing, public speaking, problem solving, consensus building, conflict resolution and compromise and cooperation.
I am glad to congratulate our students and delegates for overcoming true openness, excellence and devotion for reaching the goals of each and every didactic and creative outcome. We feel privileged for providing the best available logistics and administrative support that we can to the organizers for making their effort more operative and successful.
I wish Chittagong University Model United Nations 2017 a splendid success.
