University of Chittagong

Not only the scenic beauty of the hills, landscape, small waterfalls, the colorful & fresh breathing surrounding or the journey of shuttle train but also for environment that to lead pupil to go and thrive in diverse areas, from job market to entrepreneurship to research or enlightening people through education, University of Chittagong upholds the head of the nation by its all round virtue.
The University of Chittagong located in Fatehpur Union, Hathazari Upazila about 22 kilometers north of the Chittagong city around 1753.88 acres of hilly and flat land, which is one of the largest universities by campus area in Bangladesh. University of Chittagong established in 1966 and has approximately 23,876 students and 899 faculty members, 348 officers, enriched with 8 faculties, 43 departments, 7 institute, 5 research centre, 22 affiliated colleges, and 12 halls. The University Library is one of the biggest in Bangladesh and its collection consists of about 3.5 lakh volumes of books and over 40,000 bound volumes of journals. The Chittagong University Museum was established in 1973 at the initiative of the University Authority which accelerates advanced learning by the provision of materials and facilities for research, also aims to stimulate public interest and encourages understanding and appreciation of the history, archaeology and art heritage of Bangladesh The university has own transportation facility. Shuttle Train is one of the main attractions of this university.
