Cultural Heritage Stories Booklet | Page 2

Forward This ebook contains original stories written by participants in the eTwinning project ‘Adventures in Castles, Fortresses, Churches and Places of Worship’ undertaken by participants attending the Gozo College Middle School (Malta), Scuola Secondaria Statale di I Grado "Maria Brigida" (Termoli, Italy), Staatliche Realschule Heilsbronn (Germany) and Collège Georges Mandel (Sourlac Sur Mer, France). Project participants coming from the different countries and their respective communities were asked to reflect on the richness of their respective cultural heritage and to come up with an adventurous story related to cultural heritage elements: building, artefacts, traditions etc. We were extremely surprised by what the participants’ creativity led them to! While they remained faithful to the historical aspects of the building or artefact mentioned, they managed to write twenty-three fantastic stories that we believe will provide a very interesting reading. These are presented here in textual and audio format illustrated by multimedia content that should help readers become acquainted to the historical places, events and traditions mentioned in the stories. To make it even more attractive readers can also take part in an educational game after reading some of the stories! On behalf of all the participants, we would like to wish you a happy reading! Let’s appreciate our common cultural heritage. Antonella Camilleri, Mario Xerri (Malta) Carmela Pietrangelo (Italy) Oliver Roos (Germany) Pascale Baudoux (France)
