Olomouc Holy Trinity Column in Olomouc was built in the 18th century to celebrate the Catholic church and express gratitude for ending a plague. It is the most outstanding example of a type of monument specific to central Europe. It was made by Moravian artist Ondrej Zahner in the characteristic regional style known as Olomouc Baroque. It is decorated with many fine religious sculptures. It is 35 metres high. The column is highest sculptural group in Czech Republic.
