Introduction
Here in this text we are going to explain the history of one of the oldest buildings in the town of Zacatecas, Mexico but it is not only one of the oldest buildings in town, it was one of the most beautiful buildings, we are going to know the reason of why the Building lost its facade.
Zacatecas had a very singular importance in the economy, politics and social life in all the country during three centuries and this factors contribute to create artistic things very beautiful specially architecture like Cathedral, San Francisco and Guadalupe.
Unfortunately vandalism mutilated its facade spreading up all his remaining parts all over the city of Zacatecas.
The type of building we are talking about is a Cathedral a very very old cathedral This building was used as many things, that make it suffer from damages and a lot of its historical facade and decorations.
When the Agustin Order to Zacatecas, the Agustin order was a group of people coming from Spain and they were one of the most important orders in New Spain because they have a very big impact in the Mexican culture not only in religion because they were the responsible of the evangelization here in Mexico but also they teach to the indigenous people how to read and how to write but it wasn’t just that things they also have the impact on the structure and the edification a lot of cathedrals were builded in that time they build a very modest temple in the year 1575 at the center of Zacatecas exactly in front of plaza Miguel Auza behind the portals, just a few meters from Cathedral. They were not comfortable with its church, so they put the walls of another one bigger than the other, and they started a new one that was much bigger, beautiful and better located.
