In Turkey there are no festivals similar to our November cheesecake, but the cemeteries visit especially on the eve of the two most important holidays - Ramadan Bayram and Kurban Bayram. Turkish cemeteries are specific. All the graves lie exactly on the same axis. This is due to the Islamic injunction that the deceased should always be kept head to Mecca. The gravestones are very simple, mainly a stone plate with the name of the deceased and the verses of the Koran. Sometimes the graves are decorated with carved plant motifs, there are also symbols of the profession. It is not practiced to light candles or bring flowers. http://innaturcja.blogspot.com/2015/11/spacer-po-tureckim-cmentarzu.html
