was to do what he normally does: contrast two
extremes. It’s almost like the stereotypes – tattooed
rebel, luscious babe and behaved ’60s housewife
– are playing chicken with each other but nobody
is budging. Quite on the contrary, although our eye
is trained to deem these characteristics ‘conflicting’,
they flow into each other with complete harmony.
Maiani normally goes into the studio with an idea
and a brief for the team, but what happens in front of
the camera is strongly influenced by the mood and
energy that comes to life on set.
