Cullman Senior Spring 2022 | Page 48

WOW ! Where to even begin in thanking everyone for such a successful Senior Christmas Party ! This year ’ s Christmas party would not have happened without the expressed interest from our seniors . Seniors made it known to Chairman Jeff Clemons that after two years of no Christmas party , this was an important event that they wanted returned . Without an abundance of help and support this would not have happened ; we would be concerned to try and name everyone out of fear of leaving someone out ! We had elected officials from our great city , county and state show up as well as the many volunteers from local businesses . They not only served food and drinks to our seniors but also provided some amazing door prizes .
According to many of our seniors , Ron Foust and his staff at Stone Bridge Farms served the best lunch out of all Christmas parties past .
Our wonderful entertainment was provided by the Fairlanes .
Gloria Williams with Freedom Insurance provided two $ 250 checks and one grand prize of $ 500 to lucky participants this year .
After much anticipation for this wonderful event , Chairman Clemons and Commissioner Garry Marchman were unable to attend due to health reasons . Both expressed their disappointment in not being there but sent well wishes to everyone . Commissioner Kerry Watson stepped up and served up enough food for them all !
