“ When we first set the date , it was going to be on August 14 , but the more time we spent together we knew that we could not wait that long ,” Linda said . “ So we prayed continuously while making a list ; and everything just worked out to where we were able to get things planned by July 10 , which just so happened to be the same day as my birthday .”
The couple also wanted to illustrate in a unique way how special their families were to them , so they had special cakes designed with a special tribute in mind .
“ I used blue and pink ribbons to join all together ,” said Linda . “ Blue was for my son ; pink for Mike ’ s three daughters ; and the blue and pink ribbon for the grandchildren : two boys and five girls .”
