Let ’ s meet our New County Commission Chairman :

Cullman County Commission Chairman Jeff “ Clem ” Clemons took oath of office on Nov . 10th and is now ready to tackle the new year in his new position .

He retired from the Cullman County Sheriff ’ s office on Oct . 20 , 2020 , after 33 years as a deputy sheriff .
Clem said he started in dispatch and then worked in just about all aspects of the sheriff ’ s office including patrol , investigations , and most recently as Captain of the Special Projects Division .
“ I am really excited about this new journey as Commission Chairman ,” Clem said . “ I truly believe I am ready for this job and I am ready for this challenge . Since I took office , we have been working hard to make sure we are doing what is in the best interest of the people in Cullman County .”
Clem said one of the best things of being a public servant is being able to help people .
“ And that is what I plan to continue doing now as I serve as your Chairman of the County Commission ,” he said .
Donated $ 215,000 for roof at Cullman County Agriculture Center .
“ I want to do everything in my power to make our county a better place to live .”
Now , taking office during a pandemic , Clemons addressed the methods of making sure the seniors are still active while taking care of them from a social distance .
