pacted during the COVID-19 pandemic. A great
deal of tourist destinations are closed for business
through May, but according to Hornsby, planning
for travel later in the year may still be possible.
Hornsby states, “Having a trip to look forward
to has always been a helpful way for me to get
through a tough time. We always try to have at
least one trip we’re planning for, giving us a goal
and something to get excited about. Sometimes
half the fun is in the planning!”
She explained, prior to the pandemic her family
and her parents traveled to Disney bi-annually.
They had planned to take their first Disney Cruise
Line vacation this spring, but plans had to be
adjusted. She also said, “One of the great things
about Disney Parks and Resorts is how they are
working with everyone now to make sure guests
are safe, and are able to rebook at a time that
works for their family. Disney will not re-open un-
til they have done all they can to ensure the safety
of their cast members (employees) and guests.”
Disney Parks and Resorts not only have theme
parks throughout the world, but they also offer
Adventures By Disney vacations. Hornsby and her
husband travelled with Adventures by Disney to
London and Paris for their anniversary in 2018!
She states she’ll have trouble doing overseas travel
any other way after traveling with Disney. They
provided tour guides, hotel accommodations,

planned our destinations, and had local guides as
well. She said, “The trip was planned so perfect-
ly, we had time to do things I never would have
imagined being able to do, like archery on the
English Countryside, and making scones outside
Windsor Palace. The whole trip was incredible.”
In addition to their bi-annual trip with Horns-
by’s family to Walt Disney World in Florida, her
parents also go as a couple each December. They
are both in their early to mid 60s, but Hornsby
says, “You’re only as old as you feel.” She explained
both of her parents exercise daily, and have no
problems walking long distances. “This is im-
portant because Walt Disney World does require
a great deal of walking. Scooters are available for
rental, so that can be arranged if needed.”
Hornsby said, “Being able to create memories
through a multigenerational trip is something
myself, nor my kids will ever forget. The kids
always look forward to trips to Disney with Neena
and Pops. In addition, Neena and Pops love to see
Disney through the eyes of our children.”
Walt Disney World has something for everyone!
Throughout the year they offer various festi-
vals, concerts (groups like Three Dog Night, The
Spinners, Billy Ocean, and others from the 60s,
70s, 80s, etc), shows, and unique experiences. All
Disney Parks offer various price points for hotels
and restaurants with a wide variety of choices.
