Her daughter, Anna McSwain, also
credited her Grandpa Calvert as being
one of her greatest influences in life.
“He is the perfect example of a God
fearing man and has always been pres-
ent in our lives. Whether it was playing
ball in the yard, traveling to watch us
in our athletic events, or getting up a
good game of Rook, he was and still
is always there. He loves God and he
loves his family,” she said. “I am proud
to be a small part of his legacy.”
Even others in the community
commented on the tremendous differ-
ence that Calvert made over the years,
including State Representative Randall
Shedd.
“To know James Calvert is to love
him,” he said. “He is a great man, and
has always been a great public servant.”
