However, looking at this woman, already in her early 70s, one wouldn’t know these facts with- out being told. “It wasn’t easy to comeback but through a lot of determination I was able to do it.” Her love of riding and being around horses fu- eled her determination. “There are countless reasons I love the com- panionship of horses,” she said. “For one reason, they are an inspiration; creatures of beauty. To me, they are living art forms that help remind us of the natural wonders of our world and in turn inspire us to live our lives at a higher level.” Kontogeorge said they have provided her with a variety of entertainment throughout the years. “Some of my best times, my best memories, are riding my horses and teaching others to ride as well. Honestly, most of my life, has involved hors- es, and I just don’t want to imagine what life would be like without the story of a horse.” And seeing what great shape, Kontogeorge is in, it is obvious that riding horses is great exercise. “I have always had this hobby, even when I was working at the doctors office as a medical as- sistant,” she said. “When I would get off work, I would be at horse shows or in my stables riding horses, teaching others the proper methods.
