Supporters of the North Alabama Agriplex in Cullman successfully raised more than $ 3 million to reach Phase 1 of the non-profit’ s capital campaign goal.

The Agriplex staff, along with the Cullman County Cooperative Extension, will be moving into its new space between March and May.
Meeting the $ 3.2 million goal was a dream come true, said Agriplex Executive Director Rachel Dawsey. It has allowed them to expand the campus to include an 8,525-square-foot facility which features a community hub, teaching kitchen and shared administrative areas for the Agriplex and Extension Service.
Located on its current property in Cullman, just off Highway 278 and I-65, the Agriplex will share its campus with the Cullman County Master Gardeners and 4H programs as well. Near the current John T. Williamson Heritage Center, which will continue to be used as a classroom and meeting space, the new facility enables the Agriplex to broaden their efforts in reducing food insecurity and promoting nutrition education as young and old alike learn to prepare, preserve and enjoy delicious, locally grown produce.
As move-in day nears, supporters are turning their attention to Phase 2.
