The college currently offers introductory plumbing through its short-term Skills for Success training, but plans are underway to launch a full plumbing certificate program. This expansion aligns with efforts to strengthen pathways between short-term, non-credit training and traditional credit-bearing programs.
At the Workforce Training Center located at REHAU Automotive in Cullman, Wallace State has added a new pharmacy technician instructor and three phlebotomy instructors who will teach across the Hanceville, Arley and Oneonta campuses.
The college will also soon restart the Certified Nursing Assistant( CNA) program at both the Hanceville and Arley campuses.
Student life
New programs have not been limited to the instructional side. Wallace State welcomed men’ s soccer back to its athletic program as well as a new women’ s flag football team. Both teams had successful first years by claiming conference titles. Women’ s soccer is currently fielding a team to begin competing in the fall.
Financial aid and scholarship applications are now open for the 2026-27 academic year. Registration for Summer and Fall Semester begins April 6.
