Lazy weekend mornings are a great time to chill in Dreher ’ s Art Deco-appointed dining room , says Chamblee , but there ’ s plenty more of fun stuff on tap on all the other days that don ’ t begin with the letter ’ S ’.
“ Every Wednesday we have live music , create-your-own wine flights , discounted bottles of wine , and our kitchen does a different pasta special each week ,” says Chamblee . “ We bring in different rotational wines from all over for guests to choose from for their wine flights .
“ Every Thursday we feature tacos and create-your-own margarita flights ,” she adds . “ Tacos change each week , and margarita selections change with each season . We ’ re updating and covering the back patio too , so coming soon , we ’ ll be able to have seating out there year-round , rain or shine !”
With the start of spring approaching , be sure to keep a close eye on Dreher ’ s social media for an always-changing lineup of special events . “ Special events at Dreher ’ s rotate frequently ,” says Chamblee . “ We featured some amazing drinks on our ‘ Plant Bus ’ day this year , and that ’ ll be returning this spring ! We designed a full cocktail menu with plant-inspired drinks for guests to enjoy , so if you missed it the first time , it won ’ t be long before you ’ ll get another chance .”
Words can only go so far to highlight all the edible ( and imbibable ) ideas that Chamblee brings to the year-round mix at Dreher ’ s , so we ’ ll let the pictures do their share of the talking . From taco Thursdays to sippin ’ Sundays and every day in between , there ’ s always something tasty on tap at the cozy little cocktail bar on First Avenue . C
