The “ build your own Bloody Mary .”

Brunch is officially a thing in Cullman , and in the early days since the city cleared the way for restaurant guests to sip Sunday mimosas and Bloody Marys , no locally-owned restaurant has stepped up to the plate — or the bar — like Dreher ’ s Cocktail Bar & Restaurant .

Located in the First Avenue heart of historic downtown , Dreher ’ s is gaining a growing reputation for alluring Sunday guests , thanks to a kicked-back weekend lineup of brunch-themed drinks that ’ ve been tailor-made to pair with bites both savory and sweet from the kitchen .
For anyone who ’ s dropped by since Dreher ’ s rolled out its brunch menu , it ’ s proven a persuasive formula that ’ s tough to resist . But then again , why even try ? Ease up to the bar ( or grab a spot on the adjoining patio ), and it soon becomes clear that it ’ ll take more than one visit to complete the full food-and-drink tour .
Whether it ’ s chicken & waffles or Eggs Benny ( Dreher ’ s own unique take on the classic Eggs Benedict ), there ’ s probably a brunch beverage that ’ s made to match . And if you can ’ t decide , no worries : you can fine-tune things to your heart ’ s content .
That ’ s the idea behind the restaurant ’ s createyour-own Bloody Mary bar , available until 2 p . m . on Saturdays and Sundays , right alongside a sampler ’ s showcase of mimosa flights . For anyone whose brunch beverage quest ventures beyond the conventional , there ’ s even a specially-designed brunch cocktail menu , where the options open up to reveal a well-curated cocktail selection sprung from the creative mind of owner and head bartender Christine Chamblee .
