W
e're most of the
way through this
year, and long past our
fifth anniversary as a
brand. Never mind that
it took us four years to
pull it together - we're
there now!
Issue #9 contains
some great content. A
full breakdown of what
we know about the
Nintendo NX courtesy
of Bobby Mills-Thomas, comment on the
difficulties of difficulty
settings from Michael
Hawthorn, and of
course our review of
No Man's Sky - the
game nobody's escaped.
This month's editorial
has sadly to be a slight-
ly melancholy one.
Our
long-time
Co-Editor, Sian Bradley, has decided it's
time to move onto pastures new, to further
study and, hopefully,
a career in journalism
much more glamorous
than Cubed is ever going to be.
Sian was one of
the trio who founded
Cubed Gamers back
in 2011, and it's safe
to say it wouldn't be
where it is without her.
I mean it literally. It
was her idea to revamp
the website in 2015
and put together the
immense pool of talent
we now have at our
disposal. And it was
her idea - which at the
time I thought overambitious and unsustainable - to start a monthly
magazine. Look where
we are now.
And along the way,
she's produced brilliant
news articles, reviews,
comment pieces and
features too.
Expect to see Sian
around from time to
time, but for now I'll
be continuing as Editor alone. They say it's
lonely at the top - we
shall have to see.
