Texture packs will be hitting Windows 10 and iOS systems this year , along with Add- Ons for mobile , which allow you to transform mobs , animals and villagers into other beings . The addition is expected to hit consoles next year .
After a vibrant Minecraft demo featuring a Gear-VR-sporting John McCormack , Xbox Design Lab unveiled some new custom controllers , with a slew of different colour combinations and the option to print your Gamertag on the front .
It ' s been a while , but the Limbo creators ' new
game Inside finally has a release date , and it ' s 29 June - so out at time of print . To celebrate , Limbo will be available for Xbox One players for free , as part of Microsoft ' s ID @ Xbox scheme . An ID @ Xbox trailer followed suit , offering a glimpse of some upcoming indie titles , including Cuphead , Outlast 2 , The Culling and Stardew Valley .
One of the most striking appearances was that of We Happy Few . Set in an British , 1960 ' s dystopia in which all citizens are druggedup on joy . A snippet of gameplay overlooked the game ' s first-person style , with vague touches of Bioshock and an emphasis on the strange . The game will be available on Xbox Game Preview on 26 July .
Damien Monnier of CD Projekt Red then charged energetically onto the stage to announce that The Witcher ' s popular card game Gwent will be hitting the Xbox One as a standalone game that offers both a multiplayer experience and a single-player campaign , amidst a complete visual overhaul . A beta is coming this September ; players can register at playgwent . com .
Next it was Bandai Namco ' s turn to treat the audience , with an adrenal trailer of nonstop action for Tekken 7 . Arriving in early 2017 , the game was said to feature a new Story Mode implementing cut-scenes , as well as & quot ; other exciting features to be revealed ' soon '.
Then things got Christmassy with a trailer for Dead Rising 4 , showing vehicular
zombie-splattering and characteristic melee-mashing . Though a specific release date wasn ' t confirmed , the festive song-choice suggests players can expect it to launch around December .
Platinum Games also offered a look at Scalebound in a new co-op demo . Amidst ranged archery combat and supercharged special powers , the game ' s cocky protagonist was shown hopping aback formidable dragon-fellow Big Guy in a glitzy neo-punk environment . Scalebound ' s coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2017 .
Rare ' s new piratey MMO Sea of Thieves also saw some action , with a video showing a crew of appointed players exploring a nautical , Pixar-esque world without tutorial . It ' s described as an " immersion experience " of " limitless adventures ". The audience then saw another zombie-oriented trailer in the form of State of Decay 2 , before
the news melted into the announcement of Halo Wars 2 .
A week-long beta has now launched , with the official game arriving 21 February 2017 . It will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title , meaning players can save their game on their Xbox One , to pick up again on Windows 10 .
But Microsoft saved the biggest news for last . Xbox Head Phil Spencer announced the Xbox One S , a white console much smaller than previous consoles , before dropping the bomb that ended the entire conference . Microsoft are creating Project Scorpio , another Xbox that is reportedly the most powerful console ever built . The system will be coming Holiday 2017 , handling 4K , and running VR smoothly . Importantly , it was reiterated that Xbox One , Project Scorpio and the S will all be fully compatible with games and accessories .

Is it worth it ?: Time will tell . With the mysterious Project Scorpio on the way next year , there might be a new console to absorb your money before too long - but if you have a high-end TV and get a lot of use from your Xbox One , this could be worth an investment .
