Of all the celebrity deaths in 2016 , few came as late in the day or meant as much to geek culture as Carrie Fisher , known for her depiction of Leia Organa in numerous Star Wars films over the years .

So it ' s only natural
that players of Star Wars MMO The Old Republic have popped up with tributes to Fisher across the galaxy .
Players have been gathering in House Organa on the ( gloriously undestroyed ) planet Alderaan to pay tribute to the deceased star .

Nintendo are not known for their generosity towards fan projects , and Pokémon Prism has been no exception . The game ' s creator , Adam " Koolboyman " received a Cease and Desist notice after releasing the Pokémon Crystal ROM

hack .
However , as is the nature of the internet , the game has since spread across the internet , thanks to enthusiasts defying the letter of the law .
Since its relaunch , the Pokémon Prism subreddit has been
highly active , creating a fan community in spite of the official clampdown .
Nintendo encountered similar controversy earlier this year , after ordering Pokémon Uranium taken down for similar breach of copyright reasons .
