appointingly short , taking just over six hours to complete in full . What ’ s worse is the side-missions , enjoyable as they are , take up half that time . A few more main missions would make a much meatier campaign , because what these missions do offer are stunning visuals and dynamic action .
The Call of Duty franchise still finds new ways to thrill , with beautifully designed action sequences that fully engage you in the disastrous situation you ’ re thrown into , to
fast-paced gunfights that have you running behind walls to flank the enemy . However , the only exceptional mission I came across where I felt in complete control was an Earthbased mission set in a cathedral , which really says something when Infinite Warfare ’ s main focus is in space .
Speaking of , gunfights set in zero-gravity were nauseating , and I found myself picking off enemies from afar with a sniper rifle just so I wouldn ’ t die as much , because grappling around trying to find cover was a struggle .
Aerial combat was
fun , but it came down to “ find a target , lockon , shoot , repeat ” which can get tedious very quickly . Infinite Warfare ’ s arsenal is gorgeously designed , with sound design that satisfies with each shot fired . The new energy based weapons do not handle that much differently from the regular guns though , the main difference being that they destroy droids a second or so faster .
Multiplayer is as fluid and fast as ever , with screaming resemblances to last year ’ s Black Ops 3 . There are six different battle-rigs , the equivalent to BO3 ’ s ‘ specialists ’, each with their own ability which
supposedly changes the tide of the game , which they don ’ t really do . Other players seemed more keen on
momentum , meaning the faster they whizzed around the map , the more kills were made . The weapon of choice for many players were the SMGs , as they could then handle medium to close quarter combat , which is basically all the areas in any map . Game modes are varied and entertaining , especially modes like “ Infected ”, where you die and become
a knife-wielding droid sent out to kill other players , which is always amusing .
Zombies puts you in the weirdest and wackiest scenario yet , which lands you in a space-themed amusement park with David Hasselhoff ( because who else ?) commentating and playing funky 80 ’ s songs on a radio . There ’ s so much to see and do that it ’ s almost overwhelming , but I found the more I played , the better I understood the park and its mysteries . With all the power-ups to gain and traps to set , it was all too easy to pick off zombies , making a typical game last more than half an hour as opposed to previous Zombie games .
Infinite Warfare is like that action movie that is immensely satisfying to watch , that you enjoy for its spectacles and not necessarily its story . Could you have played the previous game and got the same experience ?
Probably . Nevertheless , there ’ s still a great game here , but it ’ s just more of the same .

and the voice-acting in the game is superb . Kit Harington plays the ruthless Admiral Salen Kotch who ’ s a stereotypical antagonist , But Kit easily plays this role with his menacing tone . Brian Bloom also effectively portrays a respectable commander , with the highlight of the story being his relationship with E3N ( Ethan ), a robot companion that easily delivers the best lines .
