Autumn is in the air at CTP headquarters, and we couldn’t be more excited to get back to
work creating the best field trip experience in the country. It’s our 15th year making
Shakespeare for students, and we’re sure this is going to be the best season yet.
The big news: this season we will be mounting brand new productions of Romeo
& Juliet and Macbeth. Built in CTP’s signature style, these productions are clear, concise and
kinetic – designed to excite, entertain and educate the toughest critics in
the business – your students. We’ve taken all we’ve learned in 15 years producing
Shakespeare for students and we are distilling it into the best productions we have ever
made.
This year, we are returning to the extraordinary Toronto Centre for the Arts. Thanks
to our friends at the City of Toronto, all of our productions will be performed in the
intimate George Weston Recital Hall, widely recognized as one of the best concert
venues in the world. This incredible space is acoustically perfect and brings a new
level of intimacy to our productions.
We’d like to thank you for including Classical Theatre Project in your school year –
some of you have been coming since the very beginning! We know that planning a
field trip is a lot of work, and we are here to help you every step of the way. Because
like you, we know that one of the greatest gifts we can give a student is the
knowledge that they can understand something that they thought impossible.
