UAB MedCast ( uabmedicine . org / medcast ) is a weekly series of continuing medical education ( CME ) podcasts that highlight the latest clinical and research innovations at UAB Medicine . Roughly 15 minutes long , each episode features a UAB Medicine expert from among dozens of specialties and qualifies for 0.25 AMA PRA Category 1 credits . UAB MedCast is the first CME podcast series in the region and includes over 225 episodes so far , with new installments being added each week . The podcast format is ideal for physicians , nurses , technicians , and other medical professionals interested in staying abreast of important developments at UAB Medicine while earning CME credit on the go .
