We are pleased to share with you this annual report for the UAB Comprehensive Transplant Institute ( CTI ). Within these pages you will find program highlights , details on remarkable advancements in xenograft and uterus transplantation , and stories about the people at the center of all we do – our patients . It is their triumphs and contributions to their communities and others navigating their own transplant journeys that unite our provider teams and drive us to continue improving access , outcomes , and the entire patient experience .
As always , we are proud to be a part of UAB Medicine , which values the magnitude and importance of transplantation in both saving and improving lives across Alabama and the region . Likewise , we are grateful for the continued opportunity to serve our patients and the community .
