PHILANTHROPY : FUELING RESEARCH AND INNOVATION

The UAB Comprehensive Transplant Institute ( CTI ) exists in its current capacity because of supporters like you . Gifts from philanthropic supporters ensure that CTI physicians and surgeons have the resources they need as they work to save the lives of patients in need of transplants . Going forward , the CTI is committed to providing state-ofthe-art transplant services for those in Alabama and beyond .
RESOURCES – DEVELOPMENT
Our focus is on the very best care for patients , research aimed at discovery , and the development of new approaches to increase the success and availability of transplants . Educating the next generation of transplant professionals in our storied tradition of excellence is our legacy .
Your gift could be the steppingstone that our team needs to make the next great breakthrough , leading to important changes in the way we care for and treat transplant patients .

PATIENT ASSISTANCE FUND

Transplant patients incur many expenses beyond what insurance covers . The UAB Comprehensive Transplant Institute Patient Assistance Fund enables you to make a difference for these patients , living donors , and their families . Contributions cover a broad range of short-term expenses , including lodging near the hospital , prescriptions and medical supplies , transportation , and utilities .
