LEADERSHIP ACADEMY GIVING CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK LS NWTC’s 6 week Leadership Academy is designed to develop the leadership skills of the informal leader in every organization. This employer-sponsored program is an excellent development opportunity for front line production employees and potential team leaders. This is a great chance for employees to learn from their peers in similar organizations. Through classroom discussions, Academy participants will learn the best practices of other companies and collaborate on new peer leadership approaches with the ability to apply those new skills in their workplace. The Academy’s six, four-hour courses include: • Conflict Resolution • The Peer Leader • Creating a Motivational Environment • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving • Working as a High Performance Team • Team Development Strategies March 30, April 6, 13, 20, 27 & May 4, 2022 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. COFFEE Cost: $699.00 EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE WORKPLACE COMM Are you tired of having embarrassing “knee-jerk” reactions when something upsets you? (You know, when a mouth full of angry swear words spill out of your mouth while others appear calm around you?) When a smart person lets loose with an overemotional or irrational reaction in the workplace we call that a knee jerk reaction. Notice the word “jerk” is in there on purpose! In this seminar you will learn: • The reason for over-reacting that dates back to prehistoric times (instinct) • That reason isn’t as relevant today and is the basis for better skills (evolve) • What skills you need to master in life and at work March 31, 2022, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. COFFEE Cost: $99.00 COMM Are you tired of trying to motivate and encourage employees to do their best? Many managers think they are being helpful when providing feedback to employees but they don’t realize that it is the way they give feedback that is really the problem. Just think about it, there are really only two reasons for giving constructive (positive/helpful) feedback: 1. To recognize and encourage similar future performance (positive and motivating feedback) 2. To coach and improve a skill or behavior (helpful and encouraging/supportive feedback) Anything other feedback is likely criticism which is neither helpful or encouraging. In fact criticism itself is unhelpful and demotivating and discourages most people receiving it. The focus of this seminar is to help you learn how to give feedback such that the other person: 1. 2. 3. 4. Wants to hear it Can understand it and act on it Doesn’t get defensive or pushes back Respects your opinion and appreciates that you took the time to provide it Knowing how to give corrective feedback constructively can be the difference between having employees who feel misunderstood, unappreciated, and unmotivated (and you totally frustrated) and having a motivated “I want to do my best team!” April 7, 2022, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. COFFEE Cost: $99.00   CREATING AN OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE | NEW COMM Does your organization strive to offer an outstanding customer experience? Does your customer experience set you apart from your competition? In this workshop we will focus on understanding the expectations of your customers and how to deliver or exceed their expectations. Explore how service standards can create a baseline for customer satisfaction. Create loyal customers through their memorable experiences with your organization. Learn how to create buy-in from staff to feel motivated to offer superb service. Finally, learn how to recover from a service failure and discover how to learn from that experience. April 12, 2022, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. COFFEE Cost: $99.00 PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERIES PP With uncertainty in the economy and the growth in the business world, companies need to become more competitive.
