According to a new report based on U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics,
about 40% of motor vehicle accidents are work-related, which poses
a significant risk to employees who drive for their jobs. Furthermore,
these accidents cost employers over $56 billion in 2017, with 53% of
vehicle accidents causing employees to miss work.
This course has been developed as a response to those figures
and a way to reduce those numbers. This is a fast-paced exciting
class taught by the same instructors that teach our public safety
professionals on vehicle operation! No need to worry about using
your car as we will provide the vehicles for your employee and
the class will be held at the NWTC Universal Driving Facility which
has a closed driving course consisting of roads, roundabouts,
intersections, curves, and much more.
Classroom discussion will cover: traffic laws; accident scenarios;
and risky driving behaviors. This will be followed by actual driving
time covering: evasive maneuvers; controlled braking; navigating
roundabouts; emergency situations and basic concepts of vehicle
operation.
Upon completion a certificate will be provided.
