DISTINGUISHED EDUCATOR AWARD
CTE started collecting nominations for the 2019 Distinguished Educator Award
on August 20, 2018. But many of you may wonder what this award actually is.
See page 2 for information about
one of our fantastic Faculty
Members, Dr. Laura Earle.
WHAT IS IT?
The Distinguished Educator Award began in 1989 and is presented annually to
a faculty member who demonstrates excellence in scholarship, instructional
effectiveness and connecting with students. Past Distinguished Educators
include Dr. Sharon Cronk-Raby, Dr. Laura Earle, Mark McBride, Susan Phillips, Dr.
Ashley Spring, Susan Houts and others.
HOW DO YOU PICK?
Nominations are made by faculty, students and staff, with representatives from
each group comprising the selection committee.
CAN I STILL BE NOMINATED?
Yes, but the deadline is quickly approaching. We will close all nominations by
September 20. All nomination letters should be sent to Titusville Campus 1-159
or [email protected]
