Rosco’s Squad Car

Linda Patterson of San Diego, CA was offered the rare opportunity to purchase a Hollywood Star Car from some
friends. She was well pleased to learn that it was a 1977 Plymouth Fury already converted to the Rosco’s Sheriff’s
Patrol Car from the television series “Dukes of Hazzard”. Linda’s Star Car is equipped with at Plymouth 318 engine
and an exact match to the vehicle used in the television series.
Linda has used this vehicle in numerous charity events such as San Diego’s “Cops n Rodders” and other fundraisers
to raise funds for children, first responders, and military causes.
Linda has had her car signed by all of the original cast members of the show and was even part of the famous
Hollywood Christmas Parade. Linda is also a member of Nate’s Star Car Central and is involved in their events as
well.
As we were preparing to do the final edit on this issue of REVOLUTIONS we learned that yesterday, April 7 th, James
Best, who played Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane in the television series, passed away at age 88 years old.
During his long acting career he appeared in 83 movies and 600 television shows, but he is always best
remembered as the hapless and bumbling Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane.
